2. Guaranteed Poverty
Taking the easy way out with a small salary becomes the hard way when you are trapped with substandard income and ever increasing cost of living. Only 2.5% of salary employed retire with $1 Million or more saved. Guess who these 2.5% are? You guessed it. The CEOs and the rare tech or finance superstar. You are not in the 2.5%.
That’s why they cal it working for someone else. While you are slaving away making the 2.5% rich, the years roll by and the odds of you escape drop precipitously. You had no time to work for you. And when they no longer need yo or you can’t work anymore you are tossed on the heap of former employees they can care less about.
The hard road becoming self-employed, or taking a job on commission, becomes the easy road as you gain competence and build an account base. This is analogous to learning to play a guitar. If it was easy we wouldn’t have so many posers.
