11. Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

The historic version in the Book of Revelation described them as:

1. Pestilence
2. War
3. Famine
4. Death

The new riders are:
1. AI
2. Robotics
3. Automation
4. Outsourcing

The results will be::

1. Mass displacement and unemployment
2. Poverty
3. Destruction of purpose
4. Despair and self-destruction

Generations have faced challenges before but this is a unique combination of hurdles to jump. Waiting for it to be obvious, to see what happens next, is like standing on railroad tracks, hearing the thunderous whistle, becoming blinded by the light and taking a selfie. Not the best strategy. The time to act is now. You can plan along the way.

Decide on an alternative to wage-slavery that is becoming a non-option anyway. Forget what you thought your future would be while young and naive and in the college bubble. Play your own game. Not one set-up before you were even born that is a dead-end. It’s not that difficult. Any skill that people will pay you for and that the four horseman won’t take over and crush is sufficient. There are many options that you will discover.

Keep a low-profile and create your own future, destiny and life. Realize deep down that you are on your own. The previous generations that collectively put all this in motion will be gone. Believe it or not most did their best to make the world better or at least stable. Younger generations now and to come will be left to deal with it. You will be the last ones standing. Stand strong and keep the hope alive.
